Scientific Name Rattus rattus
Description Slender rodent of 16 to 21 cm in length, weighing from 80 to 300 g. Black or grey back, teeth and eyes are large in relation to the head. Feet have striated calluses, but lack interdigital membranes. Tail is fine, whip-like, with few hairs, measuring 19 to 25 cm. Nocturnal can climb easily.
