Regional Government appoints Carlos Faias as Chairman of the Administration Board of Atlânticoline
Carlos Manuel Redondo Faias will be appointed by the Government of the Azores for the position of Chairman of the Administration Board of Atlânticoline, replacing João Ponte who ceased his duties to join the XII Regional Government of the Azores.
Carlos Faias holds a Master’s degree in Business Management from the Technical University of Lisbon and a degree in Tourism Business Management from the Estoril Hotel Management School.
With extensive experience in management and entrepreneurship, he has held the position of coordinator of the Entrepreneurship Centre of the University of the Azores between 2007 and 2008; Vice-Chairman of Cresaçor – Regional Cooperative for Solidarity Economy between 2007 and 2008; Chairman of the Board of the ACEESA Association – Centre for Atlantic Solidarity Economy Studies between 2006 and 2008; Technical Manager of the Regional Microcredit Agency of the Azores between 2005 and 2008.
He was guest lecturer, having taught Entrepreneurship and Tourism Marketing courses to the MBA degree at the Department of Economics and Business Management of the University of the Azores in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2015. As lecturer, he taught Entrepreneurship at the University of the Azores from 2007 and 2011.
In addition to holding these positions, Carlos Faias was appointed represented of the Regional Government of the Azores in the National Housing Commission by order of the President of the Government on July 30, 2015 and as representative of the Autonomous Region of the Azores in the General Assembly of the Society for the Promotion and Rehabilitation of Housing and Infrastructures (SPRHI) by order of the Vice-Presidency of the Government, Employment and Business Competitiveness and the Regional Secretariat for Social Solidarity.
Carlos Faias has held the position of Regional Director for Housing in the X and XI Regional Government since 2008.
