Application periods for POSEI, PRORURAL+ aid and PRORURAL payments published today in the Official Journal
The Regional Secretariat for Agriculture and the Environment has opened the application periods for the annual aid granted under POSEI and PRORURAL +. It has also established, through an Implementing Order published today in the Official Journal, the deadline for applications to payment requests concerning of expenses incurred under the previous Rural Development Programme.
Although the implementation period of PRORURAL ended on December 31, 2013, there are beneficiaries with multi-year commitments that extend beyond this period and they may submit their applications for payment and declaration of areas between March 1 and May 13.
They mainly concern requests for measures and actions listed in the Improvement of the Environment and Rural Landscape, Agri-Environmental Payments and Natura 2000, and the Management of Forest Areas.
In turn, the deadline for submission of application to banana production aid runs from January 2 to 31, 2017.
Under the new PRORURAL +, farmers may, starting Tuesday, Marc 1, apply to the aid granted to the measures "Agri-environment and Climate," "Payments to areas facing natural or other specific constraints" and other offset payments to other areas affected by specific constraints, "Organic Farming," and "Forest-environmental and Climate Services and Conservation of Forests."
With regard to POSEI, the Government has set the calendar for submission of applications in 2016 regarding the measures for plant production, including the aid for Producers of Arable Crops, Tobacco Growers, Producers of Traditional Crops, Maintenance of Vineyards, Pineapple Growers, Horticultural Producers, Flower and Ornamental Plan Growers, and Banana Production. In addition, the scheduling of the requests for aid under the Premium for Milk Producers has also been stipulated.
Beneficiaries of direct payments should provide a declaration of the total area of the farm. The same applies to farmers producing and exporting fruits, vegetables, flowers and live plants, tea, honey, peppers and seed potatoes.
