Wine Tasting Initiation Workshop promotes qualification and quality of the wine sector
The Government of the Azores, through the Regional Secretariat for Agriculture and the Environment, promotes the 1st Wine Tasting Initiation Workshop featuring white, red, rosé and desserts wines certified by the Azores Regional Winegrowing Commission. The event takes place in Ponta Delgada next Friday, October 21.
The meeting, held at the premises of the Agricultural Services at Quinta de São Gonçalo, comprises two sessions. The first session, from 10 AM to 1 PM, is addressed at technicians working in the wine sector, while the second, from 3 PM to 6 PM, is open to the public in general.
This is initiative will be organised on several islands of the archipelago under the guidance of the Regional Oenology Laboratory, an institution accredited by the Portuguese Institute for Accreditation (IPAC).
In addition to being an asset in the international recognition of technical competence, the accreditation process allows Azorean wines produced that have applied for certification, through the Azores Regional Winegrowing Commission, to be analysed in the Region.
