Part of the Agricultural Training Programme, the Regional Secretariat of Agriculture and Forests starts on October 10 a General Training Course on Agriculture for 16 young farmers from the island of de São Miguel, providing them with theoretical and practical knowledge that will allow them to promote sustainable business practices on their farms.
To have access to the support provided under the measure “Establishment of Young Farmers” of the PRORURAL programme, young farmers must have adequate professional skills, and for such they must complete with success the programme “Basic Training for Young Farmers,” which has the total duration of 217 hours.
