The Regional Government has given financial aid to 417 displaced Azorean students in the months of April, May and June, as part of the exceptional support measures created during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Government has created this extraordinary support for the Azorean students who remained outside their island of residence, supporting the accommodation and food costs.
The aid ranged from 100 to 250 Euros per month for accommodation and food costs between April and June, being defined in accordance with household income and loss of income due to the pandemic. It was allocated as a complement to the social support already provided to students.
After the end of the implementation period of this measure and the reestablishment of air travel to the Region, the student support line ceases its operation. The email [email protected] remains available for further clarification.
