Carlos Machado Museum promotes Workshops on Drawing and Watercolour Painting with Isabel Silva Melo
The Regional Directorate for Culture, through the Carlos Machado Museum, promotes workshops on drawing and watercolour painting during the month of May to be guided by artist Isabel Silva Melo.
This activity will be held at Santa Bárbara Centre on May 7, 14 and 21 between 2:30 PM and 5 PM. It is included in the exhibition titled as "Occupations: Memory and the Present," being directed to young and adult audiences from 14 years old.
Participants will analyse some works on display, from which the content of the workshop will be developed.
Using different materials and techniques, the selected works will be explored in a practical way, with simple exercises based on the personal experience of gazing and the fruition of artworks.
The first session (May 7) will be dedicated to representation with graphite and colour pencil on paper. In turn, the second (May 14) and the third (May 21) will focus on representation with colour pencils, graphite and watercolour on paper.

The sessions have a limited number of participants and a total cost of 30 Euros.
Isabel Silva Melo graduated in Fine Arts at the University of Fine Arts of Porto and holds a postgraduate degree in Design Product by the Art and Design School of Matosinhos.
