Luís da Silva Ribeiro Public Library and Regional Archive promotes "Who sees faces ... does not see diseases" exhibition
The Regional Directorate for Culture, through Luís da Silva Ribeiro Public Library and Regional Archive (BPARLSR), will promote the photography exhibition entitled "Who sees faces ... does not see diseases," organised by José Luís Santos, from September 18 to 26.
The exhibition will open on September 18 and 6 PM and consists of 24 photographs of children with diseases. It intends to end the stigma of exclusion, demonstrating that these and other children with chronic diseases have the same rights and desires as other children.
This is a solidarity exhibition, whose photographs will be delivered to children as soon as the exhibition cycle ends, which will take place in the end of October.
José Santos, Paulo Melo, André Morgado da Silva, Beatriz Gomes, Fernando Abreu, Marta Tomé, José Pedro, Marco Andrade and Ricardo Silva Moura are the nine photographers participating in this exhibition.
The Regional Directorate for Culture informs that this and other events may be consulted in the Cultural Agenda of the CulturAçores Portal at the following address: www.culturacores.azores.gov.pt.
