The Regional Secretary for Education, Science and Culture will present the awards that will distinguish authors and artists in the field of Humanities, Plastic Arts and Architecture in an initiative developed under the new strategy for culture in the Azores.
In the presentation session of the awards created by the Azorean Government that will take place on Thursday, Luiz Fagundes Duarte will present the regulations on the Daniel de Sá Humanities Prize, the António Dacosta Painting Prize and the Paulo Gouveia Architecture Prize.
With a cash value of 12 thousand Euros each, the prizes will be awarded for the first time in 2014.
The presentation session will be attended by the widows of the men honoured by this government initiative. The event will be held at 10 AM at the Main Hall of Paços da Junta Geral in Angra do Heroísmo, the headquarters of the Regional Secretariat for Education, Science and Culture.
