Territorial networks must be allies in prevention policies, says Regional Director
The Regional Director for Prevention and Control of Dependencies defended Angra do Heroísmo the use of territorial and intersectoral networks as an essential tool for the implementation of prevention policies.
"We want to establish common guidelines and methodologies, through agreements with partner entities, to reach community intervention and rehabilitation in the context of additive behaviours and dependencies," said Suzete Frias.
The Regional Director spoke on the sidelines of a meeting with officials from the Health School and the "Casa do Povo" of Santa Bárbara. It was held following the strategy pursued to monetise resources among institutions with the goal of establishing protocols.
The areas of action already defined comprise the prevention and promotion of healthy lifestyles in night-time entertainment, outdoor spaces or near schools as well as the planning, monitoring and investigation of risk behaviours.
