The Government of the Azores, through the Regional Directorate for Housing, signed today another three contracts with Norte Crescente Local Development Association for the management of financial support to the recovery of degraded housing, involving an overall investment of 51 thousand Euros.
This measure will allow the recovery works of three dwellings that belong to needy families living on the north coast of São Miguel Island, with the technical and social assistance of Norte Crescente Association that will support beneficiary families in the financial management and the development of these works.
In his speech, the Regional Director for Housing highlighted the importance of the partnership with Norte Crescente Association in the implementation of these support measures. The government official stressed that this institution helps in the different stages of intervention, from the establishment of contact with local contract to the management of the funds available.
Carlos Faias revealed that, since 2010, the Regional Government has already signed several contracts for the management of financial support with Norte Crescente Association, representing an investment of 300 thousand Euros. These contracts have already supported 21 families and contributed to the recovery of a substantial part of the degraded housing stock.
