Networking has been a reality in the Azores for over a decade, says Andreia Cardoso
The Regional Secretary for Social Solidarity stated in Horta that the Government will "continue to innovate" in its adaptation to the specificities of the Azores, recalling that "networking has been a reality in the Azores for over a decade."
"Eighteen years of opposition have brought us a rehashed proposal," Andreia Cardoso stressed, calling for the fact that the proposal under discussion is inadequate to the regional reality and mentions some bodies that were extinct in 2011.
The Regional Secretary spoke during the debate of a regional legislative decree project for the implementation of a social network in the Region. In this regard, the government official recalled the Government of the Azores presented in 2012 a model for the creation of development and social cohesion centres, which was approved by the Legislative Assembly. It included the establishment of "a network adjusted to regional reality."
"In the last decade, the Government has implemented some of the principles and goals included this proposal; networking was not discovered in 2015. In fact, networking has been a reality in the archipelago for over a decade with the establishment of decentralised platforms at a local level. We have been working in partnership in order to improve the rationalisation of resources and social infrastructures the Azores for over a decade," said Andreia Cardoso.
