Regional Government awards priority status to works intended to optimise resources of Private Social Solidarity Institutions, says Andreia Cardoso
The Regional Secretary for Social Solidarity stated in Santa Cruz da Graciosa that the interventions in the infrastructures of the institutions that make up the Regional Network of Social Infrastructures and Services "have awarded priority status to the optimisation of available resources."
Speaking on the sidelines of a visit to the works of the new kitchen of the Elderly Home, Andreia Cardoso stressed that it will complement the services already provided by the "Santa Casa da Misericórdia" and assure "a more adequate local response."
"Complementarity is an increasing requirement in cooperation between several services and institutions providing these services that, through creative management, should share initiatives and target audiences as well as to search for common economies with lower costs and efficiency gains," stressed the Secretary Regional.
The new kitchen represents a Government's investment of about 780 thousand Euros. It is intended to support the Elderly Home, with 60 users, and the Home Support Service, which covers 70 users.
"I am convinced that this facility, which will enter into operation next year, will greatly contribute to local supply that will render the work of this institution more efficient and, consequently, the service provided to users," said Andreia Cardoso.
