The Regional Government will support the four companies from Porto Judeu that were affected by the bad weather that hit that village in the municipality of Angra do Heroísmo, Terceira Island.
The Government's decision, which was published in an order issued by the Vice-President, stipulates the support of 75% of the losses recorded, covering the portion that was not covered by insurance. With this measure, businesspeople will be able to significantly minimise the effects of bad weather and assure the stability of their business activity.
The amounts to be allocated, which range between five to eight thousand Euros, represent an additional support that falls within the Regional Government's policies intended to support the operation of private sector infrastructures that were damaged under several circumstances, particularly by bad weather conditions.
There are several reconstruction works ongoing in Porto Judeu to repair the damages caused by the bad weather that hit this village. These works are being carried out in a joint initiative of the Regional Secretariats for Tourism and Transport and for Natural Resources. The works are expected to be concluded soon.
