The Vice-President of the Government, through the Regional Centre for Handicrafts (CRAA) and in partnership with the Anda & Fala Association, promotes the third edition of the Urban Crafts Market (MUA) from October 14 to 17.
Like previous editions, this market consists of 10 exhibition/commercial spaces that will be run by artisans who use different techniques and materials, such as vegetable fibbers, fish scales, jewellery, "queijadas da vila" (traditional sweets from Vila Franca), Gorreana tea, fashion accessories, paper wicker, weaving and photography.
For three days, MUA will be "open" at Largo da Matriz between 10 AM to 6 PM. In the context of this initiative, two workshops will be held Saturday, October 17: one on fish scales from 10.30 AM to 12.30 PM, and another on wicker paper from 3 to 5 PM.
Those interested in participating in these workshops should make their registration 24 hours prior the date of the workshop at the address [email protected].
This event aims to promote disseminate and sell craft products; its organisation is supported by the Ponta Delgada City Hall and SATA Air Açores.
