The Regional Public Administration is bet in continuing a process of continuous improvement, expressed, namely, for projects of qualification and appreciation of its human resources, of self-evaluation with generalized use of the tool CAF, of auditing of its functioning and organisation and of evaluation by the citizens, everything contributing to a management for objectives, which places the citizen user of the regional Civil Service in the centre of our concerns.

To the Regional Directorate for Organisation and Public Administration it falls, fundamentally, the role of executing the measures of politics in the modernization and efficiency of the regional public administration and in the facilitation of its relationship with the citizens. In the ambit of the articulation between the Regional Government and the local autarchies, as well as on the subject of census and elections, it executes the competences attributed by law to the Government of the Azores.

The Regional Directorate for Organization and Public Administration, integrates in its management practice, ethic values, of cohesion, quality, partnership and efficiency, and so, it assumes the Mission to promote, to accompany, to coordinate and to execute measures of excellence that allow the continuous improvement of the Public Administration of the Autonomous Region of the Azores, to the service of the citizen. We want to be a service of reference in the efficiency of the public management.
