Regional Government promotes strengthening of inspection actions on illegal precarious labour
Under the policy to reinforce the fight against precarious, undeclared or irregular labour as determined by the Regional Government, through the Vice-Presidency, the Activity Plan of the Regional labour Inspectorate (IRT) provides for an increase of 50% in the number of inspection actions to be carried out in 2017.
Moreover, it will also reinforce regular inspection actions by 33% for verification of compliance with labour legislation on remuneration matters.
The promotion of improved health and safety conditions at work is also a strategic goal included in IRT Activity Plan that will contribute to fair labour and, thus, to the growth of companies' productivity.
IRT is a public service, endowed with technical autonomy, whose mission is to promote the improvement of working conditions, using the issuance of recommendations and the enforcement of standards and labour relations of the provisions on health and safety at work.
