The Vice-President of the Government, through the Society for Business Development of the Azores (SDEA), promotes, from January 21 to 25, a visit to the Region by Canadian companies. It will cover the islands of São Miguel, Terceira and Pico, during which they will have meetings with various regional entrepreneurs.
The Canadian delegation includes entrepreneur of Azorean origin, David Tavares. He is founder of Globestar Systems and chairman of the business group led by the holding company Tel-e-Group, which comprises Tel-e Technologies and Canada Pure.
This business delegation also features George Soleas, President and CEO of LCBO - Liquor Control Board of Ontario, the leading retailer and distributor of the beverage industry in the province of Ontario; Kevin Smith, President and CEO of St. Joseph Health System hospitals and Niagara Health System; Jane Gaynor, founder of Gain Your Edge, a company whose mission is to establish strategic partnerships with business leaders.
The business mission designated as "Buyers Exchange" allows these entrepreneurs to know on-site the origin of products and their methods of production and manufacturing, which will promote better business opportunities.
The visit of these Canadian entrepreneurs continues the work of the Government of the Azores towards the increase of exports as well as the consolidation of the internationalisation strategy of Azorean companies.
