Regional Government promotes "I Build My Business" training with a view to creating companies and jobs

The Regional Government, through the Vice-Presidency, promotes another training initiative under the "I Build My Business" project in Ponta Delgada from June 25 to July 31 with the aim of promoting the effective creation of new companies.

This project, with a workload of 85 hours, comprises the various stages for the implementation of a business idea, from its emergence to the self-diagnosis of the entrepreneur profile and the development of key skills and attitudes in areas related to business management.

The first training phase is based on a practical component, followed by a second phase to support the implementation of the business idea, with a time horizon of up to six months, and a third phase to support its monitoring, which can last up to a year.

Under this initiative, the "I Build My Business" prize, amounting to 3,500 Euros, will be awarded to the five best applications to be submitted in each action by unemployed promoters who implement their business creation projects.

"Entrepreneur My Business" is directed to unemployed individuals, with minimum compulsory education qualifications, who are registered in the Agencies for Qualification and Employment. It may also be extended to undergraduate students as well as to graduate students enrolled in Master's and Doctoral degrees, who wish to create a company.

The initiative is also open to young people interested in developing an economic activity in the area of creative industries, entrepreneurs in the handicraft sector who wish to acquire business management skills and the owners of micro, small and medium enterprises who wish to acquire business management skills.

For a better and safe organisation, with the appropriate physical distancing measures, sanitation procedures, mandatory use of masks and adaptation of spaces, as part of the health authority's recommendations to combat the OVID-19 pandemic, the number of participants in this activity will be reduced.

With this initiative, ensuring the protection of all in a responsible manner, the Government intends to contribute to the social and economic dynamics and the resumption of activities, namely the creation of jobs.

This training initiative is promoted by the Regional Government and organised by SDEA - Society for Business Development of the Azores.
