The qualification phase of the proposals submitted under the restricted tender procedure by previous qualification for the construction of a RO-RO passenger ship for the Autonomous Region of the Azores, with capacity for 650 passengers and 150 vehicles, has been completed.
 
The jury's report was approved by the Regional Secretary for Transport and Public Works on May 31.
 
In this phase of the tender, three entities were qualified and two were excluded.
 
All bidders were notified of the decision today.
 
The bidders qualified for the submission of proposals, due to their compliance with the technical and financial capacity requirements set out in the tender programme, are as follows:
 
Bidder # 1 - ASTILLEROS ARMON, S.A.;
 
Bidder # 2 - MEDEO RESOURCES PLC e TAIZHOU KOUAN SHIPBUILDING CO, LTD, consortium;
 
Bidder # 5 - BRODOGRADEVNA INDUSTRIJA SPLIT.
 
The qualified bidders will must submit their proposals within 75 days.
