The Regional Secretariat for Energy, Environment and Tourism, through the Regional Directorate for Tourism, will hold the 1st Regional Tourism Meeting on the island of S. Jorge between April 11 and 14. The registration period will be open until March 28.
The event aims to be a space for reflection and debate on the current issues of Azorean tourism arising from the major changes that have revolutionised this sector in recent years, namely the opportunities and challenges for the qualification and sustainability of the Azores as tourist destination. Moreover, it will also contribute to the sharing of ideas, experiences, projects and new approaches in these areas.
Held under the theme "Qualification - Challenge for the Sustainability of the Azores Tourism," this meeting will be attended by regional, national and foreign specialists from various professional backgrounds. They will share knowledge and experiences in different areas from a perspective of achieving a true sustainable development of the Azores destination.
