Lotaçor will participate in the 36th National Gastronomy Festival of Santarém at the invitation of Docapesca. This year's edition runs from October 21 to November 1 and is held under the theme "Flavours from the Portuguese Sea."
The participation of Lotaçor in one of the most important food festivals in the country falls within the Regional Government's strategy for the promotion of fresh and processed fish from the Azores Sea, which is caught in unpolluted water through selective, sustainable and environment-friendly fishing techniques.
In addition to an exhibition stand featuring Santa Catarina canned products, Lotaçor, in collaboration with the Azores Fisheries Federation, presents several fish species at the event, namely hake, conger eel, mackerel, parrotfish and mackerel. The fish will be supplied by the Traditional Fishing Shipowners' Association of Pico and Graciosa Fishers' Association.
On Saturday, the day dedicated to the Azores, Graciosa shipowners will host a showcooking event the tasting sessions of dishes made from several fishes caught in the Azores Sea.
