Vítor Fraga announces maritime link Calheta-Angra do Heroísmo twice a week between June 15 and September 15
The Regional Secretary for Tourism and Transport announced that the maritime link between Calheta, São Jorge, and Angra do Heroísmo, Terceira, will start on June 15.
Vítor Fraga revealed that the maritime link Calheta-Angra do Heroísmo will be held twice a week and "on a schedule that will not coincide with the schedule of maritime links between Velas and Praia da Vitória." The establishment of this new link will complement the existing links and improve accessibility.
Speaking on the sidelines of the presentation of the Integrated Transport Plan in Velas on Friday night, the Regional Secretary said this document will "decisively contribute to improve accessibilities to São Jorge, through the adjustment of schedules, the interconnection of new schedules and the new maritime link established between Calheta and Angra do Heroísmo.
