Azorean companies created nine jobs per day in the last month under INTEGRA programme
The Vice-President of the Government conveyed today his "satisfaction with the results achieved so far by the INTEGRA programme." It was created under the Azorean Agenda for Employment Creation and Business Competitiveness in order to "support companies wishing to expand their activity by creating more jobs.”
Sérgio Ávila revealed that "over 2,228 jobs have been created under this programme, through the Government's support to the creation of these "jobs for the Azoreans."
"This programme has been increasingly used by companies and we have registered an increase in the hiring of workers for, at least, a period of one year. Overall, companies have created 257 new jobs over the last 30 days," said the government official.
The average of nine jobs created every day in the last month under the INTEGRA programme was highlighted by the Vice-President, who stressed that "these data confirm the consistency of job creation and reduction of unemployment in the Region."
For Sérgio Ávila, it is "another indicator of recovery in economic activity and, currently, regional companies are the entities that have registered an increase in job creation. This reinforces the trend in the reduction of unemployment and the sustained growth in employment in the Azores, benefiting the Azorean population and the development" of the Region.
