According to data published today by the Employment and Vocational Training Institute (IEFP), the number of unemployed in the Azores registered in May the lowest figure since November 2011.
The number of registered unemployed, according to IEFP, shows a decrease of 9.8 percent in May compared to the same month of 2016.
In terms of job offers, there was an increase of 115 percent compared to the previous month, corresponding to 344 new job offers.
From April to May, there was still an increase of 44 percent in the number of unemployed people integrated into the labour market.
In May, the Agencies for Qualification and Employment registered 9,503 registrations in the Region.
