The Vice-President of the Government announced today the launch of an "external promotional" campaign of regional products under certification through the Azores Brand seal.

"It is time for consumers to value the brand that certifies quality," the Vice-President said, noting that the promotion abroad, initially in Madeira and Mainland Portugal, we will be carried through an advertising campaign as well as "through the work we have been carrying out at large establishments nationwide."
Sérgio Ávila stressed that the system of incentives for internationalisation "allows companies to undertake their own commercial efforts in large commercial establishment," enhancing the promotion of their products.
In his speech, the Vice-President welcomed the fact that the Azores Brand seal reach a "first goal" with the awarding of the 500th certification, which already allows consumers "to identify the brand and, thus recognise the importance of the concepts of nature certified and quality."
Sérgio Ávila reiterated, however, the idea that "it is important to consume Azorean products," which will help job creation and develop regional economy.
"Through our choices of consumption, each one of us, as Azorean citizens and consumers, can help strengthening this path of employment creation and growth," said the Vice-President of the Government.
