Conservation actions consist of a set of necessary measures required to maintain or restore favorable conditions for the natural habitats, as well as the populations of wild flora and fauna.
Several measures have been developed in recent years in conjugation with various institutions under the project LIFE, as well as other projects that resulted in a considerable improvement in the conditions mentioned above.
The LIFE Sustainable Laurel project emerged as an effort to continue the work accomplished through the LIFE Priolo project and the Spatial Plan for the River Basin of Lagoa das Furnas, both conservation projects which are currently being developed in the Lands of Priolo.
