The Regional Health Authority reports that the 299 tests conducted by the two laboratories of reference in the Azores did not detect any positive case of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.
As of now, 146 positive cases for infection with the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, which causes the COVID-19 disease, have been identified in the Region, with 124 recovered cases, 16 deaths and six active cases: five on São Miguel Island and one on Pico Island.
Pandemic prevention and containment measures should be maintained and reinforced, whenever possible, by citizens, private and social organisations, and by the social sector.
In addition to the daily briefings of the Regional Health Authority, the information on the COVID-19 pandemic will be updated Friday at 4 pm, through a press conference at the headquarters of the Regional Health Secretariat at Solar dos Remédios in Angra do Heroísmo.
The Regional Health Authority reiterates the need to comply with all recommendations already made public in this regard, especially that, in case of symptoms, patients should not seek a Hospital or Health Unit, but rather call the Azores Health Line - 808 24 60 24.
