Luís da Silva Ribeiro Public Library in Angra do Heroísmo promotes Open Archive Day
The Regional Directorate for Culture, through the Luís da Silva Ribeiro Public Library and Regional Archive in Angra do Heroísmo, promotes Thursday, January 18, a guided tour to the documents and services provided by the Archive under the guidance of Fátima Simão.
The initiative is directed to the school community and to the general public in general. It includes the presentation of a short five-minute film with the aim of disseminating the services provided by the archive, a guided tour to the open archive space as well as to scanning and microfilming areas. Moreover, there is also a guided tour to the areas of storage, disinfection and book binding services.

Fátima Simão works as technical assistant at the Archives of Luís da Silva Ribeiro Public Library and Regional Archive. She holds a degree in Information and Documentation Sciences and a postgraduate degree in Heritage Studies.
