The Azores will be represented by the Regional Directorate for Culture, under the jurisdiction of the Regional Secretariat for Education and Culture, at the Iberian Cultural Heritage Biennial that will take place in Amarante from October 13 to 15.
The Azorean participation in this event dedicated to the theme of Heritage Management, which will be held in the historic centre of that northern city, aims to increase the visibility of Azorean Culture in the national market.
Organised in partnership with Junta de Castilla y León, the AR & PA Biennial intends to promote and enhance and visibility of cultural heritage by aggregating several agents involved in this area.
The Regional Directorate for Culture will participate with a stand designed to promote Azorean Museums and Arquipélago - Contemporary Arts Centre and will present Corvo Eco-museum in the space dedicated to the dissemination of innovative projects.
In addition to the 52 confirmed exhibitors, parallel activities include workshops, debates, the international seminar on "Decentralisation of Heritage Management" as well as a complementary cultural programme featuring video mapping shows, concerts, guided tours and heritage education activities.
