He holds a degree in History and a Postgraduate degree in Heritage, Museology and Development. He is a Master's degree student in Heritage, Museology and Development.
He worked as teacher between 1987 and 1999.
He chaired the School Board of Padre Maurício de Freitas Basic Education and Secondary School from 1994 to 1999.
He holds the position of senior technician of Flores Museum from 1999 and has been the director of the same institution since 2001.
