Francisco José Rosas Ribeiro, a native of Porto, started his journalistic career in May 1984. Until 1989, he worked as journalist at Rádio Renascença and collaborated with Expresso weekly newspaper.
Between 1990 and 1994, and after a brief collaboration with Liberal weekly newspaper (July - December 1989), he held the position of Managing Editor at Rádio Press.
He joined Lusa news agency in 1995, beginning a long-term collaboration with this Portuguese news agency. As a journalist for Lusa, Francisco Ribeiro was also delegate to Lusa in Angola in the years 2000-2002 and 2004-2006. He came to the Azores in April 2009 to assume the position of delegate to Lusa in the Autonomous Region of the Azores, a position he held until October 31, 2012.
Francisco José Rosas Ribeiro was appointed Coordinator of the Press Support Office in November 2012 by Order no. 1688/2012 of November 19, 2012.
He has attended university, having completed the 3rd year of Law School at the Catholic University, the 5th year of the French Course at the French Institute of Porto and the 3rd year of the English Course at the British Institute of Porto.
