Action Plan setting criteria for the Region's safe exit from the pandemic under public consultation
The Regional Government has put the Action Plan for the Autonomous Region of the Azores designated as "Criteria for a Safe Exit from the COVID-19 Pandemic" under public consultation with the aim of reaching a consensus on the strategy "to lead the Region out of this situation."
The document has been sent to about eighty social partners, public and private entities from the most varied areas and sectors of activity as well as to the political parties represented in the Legislative Assembly, inviting them to comment on these criteria until April 29.
The action plan was approved by the Council of the Government, whose meeting was held by video conference, and may be consulted at https://covid19.azores.gov.pt/.
Azorean citizens will have the opportunity to make their contribution at the email [email protected].
In the letter accompanying the Action Plan for the Autonomous Region of the Azores, "Criteria for a Safe Exit from the COVID-19 Pandemic," the President of the Government highlights that this document “intends to contribute to the predictability, certainty and safety of the path we should follow."
“An action plan that is a beginning and not an end in itself. It is a first moment and it will be followed by another one that will also call for the contribution of Azorean citizens. This second moment will contain a series of duly scheduled measures that we intend to implement in the most diverse areas of our economy and our society in order to the effects caused by this situation,” says Vasco Cordeiro.
