The Government of the Azores starts Monday the statutory visit to Graciosa Island, during which the President of the Government will open the new RIAC (Integrated Citizen Support Network) office in the village of Guadalupe. He we will also preside over the presentation of the programme developed by the Regional Health Service, designated as "MyClinicData," as well as the ceremony for the allocation of support to the recovery of 15 degraded houses. In addition, Vasco Cordeiro has scheduled meetings with local farmers and fishers.
Similarly to other statutory visits that have taken place since the beginning of the current legislative period, the members of the Government will be available to receive the people who wish to directly pose their questions. This initiative aims to strengthen the proximity between the Regional Government and the Azorean population.
The Government of the Azores arrives to Graciosa on early Monday morning and, immediately afterwards, Vasco Cordeiro presides over the signing of funding agreements with winegrowers. He will then visit the multiplication field of "Arinto" grape variety and meet with the heads of agricultural associations and local farmers.
By early afternoon, Vasco Cordeiro presides over the presentation of "MyClinicData" programme, a laboratory information system that provides the results of medical tests to patients as well as to the doctors indicated by them at any regional health facility.
The usual meeting of the Government with the Council Island and the meeting of the Council of the Government will also take place on the first day of the Government's visit to Graciosa.
On Tuesday, Vasco Cordeiro presides over the opening of the Grande Route of Graciosa, comprising a distance of 37.5 kilometres, and to the ceremony for the authorisation of 15 housing rehabilitation procedures, involving an investment of 300 thousand Euros. Then, he will visit the rehabilitation works of the regional road section between Limeira and Porto Afonso in an extension of about 9.3 kilometres.
On the afternoon of the second day, the President of the Government meets with the board of Graciosa Fishers' Association and will chair the opening of the new RIAC office in the village of Guadalupe, located in the building of "Casa do Povo."
The programme of this statutory visit includes, as usual, visits by members of the Government to various investments underway, in addition to meetings with various local entities.
The opening of Ponta Branca Viewpoint and Leisure Area, the presentation of the project to repair the Beach Wall and the opening of Serra das Fontes Weather Station are some of the initiative included in the programme.
