About fifty children from "O Borbas" Free Time Activity Centre, municipality of Lagoa, fulfilled today the tradition of opening the lights of the Christmas Tree of the Presidency of the Government at Santana Palace.
During this moment of interaction with the President of the Government and his family, the children sang several traditional Christmas songs, having then offered Vasco Cordeiro traditional nativity scenes as well as a Christmas basket.
After offering Season's Greetings, Vasco Cordeiro offered all the children attending this celebration the children's books "The Legend of Sete Cidades," "Lia & Nicolau in the Azores Natural Parks," "The Trip of Baguinho Simão," "Island Ahoy" and "The Polar Bear with Whiskers."
This gathering, which brought together children aged between 4 and 13 from Lagoa, São Miguel Island, ended with the traditional group photo taken by the Christmas Tree of the Presidency.
