The changes registered oil prices in the international markets over the past weeks will lead to an update of the maximum public sales price of fuels in the Azores.
This update consists in the decrease of two cents in the maximum price of 95 and 98 octane petrol and of agricultural and fishing diesel. Road diesel registered a decrease of one cent per litre and the price of the remaining fuels will remain unaltered.
The maximum sales price of all fuels remain within the limits set by the Azorean Government, registering a minimal difference compared to the prices stipulated in Mainland Portugal
Hence, in the case of 95 and 98 octane petrol, the difference between the maximum prices per litre stipulated in the Azores and the national market will be less than 11 percent. In the case of road diesel, this difference will be also of less than 11 percent regarding the prices in force in the national market.
The maximum sales price per litre for road and fishing diesel will be 21 percent lower than the price stipulated in Mainland Portugal.
With regard to the gas for domestic consumption, the difference between the maximum prices per kilo in the Azores and the prices in force in Mainland Portugal will be less than 33 percent. In the case of fuel oil, the price difference between the Azores and Mainland Portugal will be less than 23 percent.
The maximum sales prices stipulated in the Azores are 5 percent lower for 95 octane petrol and 10 percent for 98 octane petrol compared to the maximum prices in force in the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
Regarding road diesel, the difference between the maximum price per litre in the Azores and the price stipulated in Madeira is less than 4 percent while in the case of agricultural diesel the maximum price per litre in the Azores is 15 percent lower.
The new prices will come in force on Thursday at 12 AM.
