The President of the Government announced today that the company PDM has fulfilled the conditions for the final approval of the construction project of a new COFACO plant on Pico Island, a seven-million Euro investment project of great importance for this island and the Azores.
"The pending matters regarding the project submitted by the company PDM for the construction of the new plant on this island have been solved," said Vasco Cordeiro.
After receiving the Administration Board of the company PDM - Transformação e Comércio de Pescado in the beginning of the statutory visit to Pico, the President of the Government stated that the construction works of the new plant will move forward by the end of this year.
