President of the Government expresses sorrow over death of journalist Gustavo Moura
The President of the Regional Government expressed his sorrow over the death of journalist Gustavo Moura, considering that he was “one of the major names of regional journalism and a tireless and tenacious advocate for the Azorean People.”
“In addition to having marked and inspired several generations of journalists, Gustavo Moura, throughout his career, has fiercely defended the interests of the Azores by interpreting the principle of 'free administration of the Azores by the Azoreans' in his own time and manner," stressed Vasco Cordeiro.
In the message of condolences sent to his family, the President of the Government stressed that “this journey, in addition to being distinguished with an Autonomic Commendation of the Recognition bestowed by the Regional Assembly in 2010, is also praised by all those who had the privilege of knowing him personally."
“I offer the most heartfelt condolences to his family and I am certain that the legacy left by Gustavo Moura, as a journalist, will enrich our collective life as a People and as a Region,” said Vasco Cordeiro.
