President of the Government welcomed Fall River St. Anthony's Band
The President of the Government welcomed on Monday the Fall River St. Anthony's Band that went to Sant'Ana Place to exchange compliments with Vasco Cordeiro.
Composed by 45 members and chaired by Hélder Fernandes, the St. Anthony's Band from Fall River, Massachusetts, performed the Anthems of the Autonomous Region of the Azores, Portugal and the United States of America under the direction of Conductor João Silva.
After the audience, the President of the Government of the Azores offered the Board of Fall River St. Anthony's Band, founded in 1904, a basalt plaque with a tile depicting the Azores' coat of arms and the book "Pelo Sinal do Espírito Santo” (By the Sign of the Holy Spirit).
