Following the permanent monitoring of the COVID-19 pandemic situation in the Region, following the extraordinary meeting of the Council of the Government held Monday, March 30 by videoconference and after hearing the Association of Municipalities of the Autonomous Region of Azores, the Government of the Azores has decided:
1- Extend the state of emergency declaration in the entire territory of the Autonomous Region of the Azores until April 30, without excluding the possibility of extending this period or the transition to the following phase under the terms of the Legal Scheme on the Civil Protection System of the Autonomous Region of the Azores.
- Renew, in the context of this extension, all preventive measures, recommendations, guidelines, circulars and decisions already issued in this regard by the Regional Government and the Regional Health Authority.
2- Include in this state of emergency declaration all measures and recommendations that will be further issued by the Regional Health Authority.

- The Government of the Azores calls, once again, all Azoreans to strictly follow recommendations and procedures defined by the Regional Health Authority, namely to stay at home, to reduce travel to the minimum and to keep social distance.
