The Regional Government will resume next week, with the visit to the islands of Corvo and Flores, the statutory visits planned for this year, according to the terms defined in the Political-Administrative Statute of the Autonomous Region of the Azores.
After being interrupted due to the COVID-19 pandemic and considering the goal defined by the President of the Government to make them before the regional election period, the statutory visits that are yet to take place this year will favour the meeting of the Government Council, the meeting with the Island Council and the close contact with the population of each of island.
In this context, the Regional Government will make statutory visits to the islands of Corvo and Flores between June 22 and 24, having already visited the islands of São Jorge, Graciosa and Santa Maria at the beginning of the year, even before the COVID-19 pandemic.
