The President of the Government participates today in the international debate conference "Atlantic Dialogues" taking place in Marrakesh, Morocco. For three days, the event brings together 250 policy-makers and leaders from North and South America, Africa, Europe and Asia.
Organised by the German Marshall Fund of the United States and the OCP Policy Centre of Morocco, the fifth edition of "Atlantic Dialogues" will focus on the theme “Strategies for the Atlantic in Transition."
Vasco Cordeiro participated as guest of this fifth edition in the panel on "Migration, Mobility and Long-term Challenges." It also included Fathallah Sijilmassi, Ambassador and Secretary-General of the Union for the Mediterranean, Otaviano Canuto, Executive Director World Bank Group, and Andrés Rozental, diplomat and chairman of Rozental&Asociados consulting.
The new economic trends and their regional consequences, security in the Atlantic and Europe after Brexit and the expectations regarding the new administration of the United States of America are among other topics under discussion.
Founded in 1972, the German Marshall Fund of the United States is an institution for the promotion of transatlantic relations that encourages the exchange of ideas and cooperation between the United States and Europe. In turn, the OCP Policy Center is a "think tank" that works as an open discussion platform.
