Vasco Cordeiro visits works to improve operating and safety conditions of Casa Port, Corvo Island
The President of the Government of the Azores started this afternoon the statutory visit to Corvo Island by visiting the expansion works of Casa Port, a 10 million-Euro investment intended to improve the operating and safety conditions of this port infrastructure.
"This work includes not only the expansion of the mooring berth by 40 metres, which will reach 115 metres in length, but also the expansion of the embankment area, which will be about 2,000 square metres," said Vasco Cordeiro.
Speaking to journalists, the President of the Government pointed out that this investment will improve the operating conditions of Casa Port, namely through the creation of conditions for the movement of people and goods with increased safety.
"In addition to these two components - the expansion of the mooring berth and the embankment area - there is an ongoing intervention in the beaching ramp with the aim of improving port services," said Vasco Cordeiro.
