The Regional Directorate for EU-related Agricultural Affairs (DRACA) was created by Regional Implementing Decree no. 38-A/2004/A of 11 December 2004, which approved the organisational structure of the 9th Regional Government of the Azores. The objective of DRACA is to support the Regional Secretary for Agriculture and Forestry in the establishment of regional agricultural policy in relation to EU agricultural policy, as well as steer, coordinate and control its regional and local implementation.
DRACA is responsible for ensuring the design, management, follow-up and evaluation of investment support and revenue support measures in the agricultural and livestock sector. It is supported by the agricultural development operational services on each island.
New technology has allowed us to open up a new field of communication that provides updated information to all those working in the agriculture sector.
