Valter Miguel de Sousa Braga holds a degree in Economics from the University of the Azores.
Professional Experience
Since July 23, 2018, he has held the position of senior technician at the Regional Secretariat for Social Solidarity, namely at NAG - Management Support Group of the Regional Director for Social Solidarity.
Between April 2008 and July 23, 2018, he worked as senior technician at DRACA - Regional Directorate for Community Agricultural Affairs, at DRADR - Regional Directorate for Agriculture and Rural Development and at DRDR - Regional Directorate for Rural Development.
From February to July 2008, he taught the course of secretariat at the Institute of Technical Insurance Education (INETESE) in Angra do Heroísmo - Association for education and training.
September 2008 - Attendance in Master Business Administration programme.
From March 2006 to April 2008, he served as adviser to the financial area at the City Council of Angra do Heroísmo.
From July 2005 to March 2006 - Head of the supply section (trainee) - Supermarket Inventory management at the company INSCO – Insular de Hipermercados, S.A. - Angra do Heroísmo.
2004 - Trainee under "Estagiar L" programme at the company Fundo de Maneio – Consultoria, Recursos Humanos e Investimentos, Lda.
Outside the work environment, he participates as:
- President of the Fiscal Council of the Regional Office of the Portuguese League Against Cancer in the Azores;
- Member of the governing bodies of Angra do Heroísmo Judo Club (vice-chair of the General Assembly).
- Trainee coach and judo athlete registered in the Portuguese Judo Federation at Angra do Heroísmo Judo Club;
- Member of Nossa Senhora da Conceição Pilgrim Ranch.
