The Regional Secretariat for Agriculture and Forestry, through the Regional Directorate for Rural Development, opens next week a new application period for the submission of projects under eight sub-measures of the Programme for the Rural Development of the Azores - PRORURAL +.
For this purpose, the Government will allocates an overall sum of 2.3 million Euros.
Applications should be submitted through the appropriate form, available on PRORURAL+ Portal at http://proruralmais.azores.gov.pt.
On April 16, the Government will publish notices concerning the sub-measures for the provision of agricultural and forestry advisory services (2.1), establishment of agricultural advisory and management services and forest advisory services (2.2) and training of advisers (2.3). These measures represent a public expenditure of 750 thousand Euros.
Moreover, the Government will publish opening notices on the sub-measures for the establishment and operation of EIP operational groups for agricultural productivity and sustainability (16.1), support for pilot projects and development of new products, practices, processes and technologies (16.2), cooperation between small operators with common processes and sharing of facilities and resources (16.3).
There are also opening notices for the sub-measures on cooperation for the development and promotion of short supply chains and local markets (16.4) and interventions for mitigation and adaptation to climate change and ongoing environmental projects and practices (16.5).
Overall, the measure 16 package of PRORURAL+ corresponds to a public expenditure of 1.6 million Euros.
