The Regional Secretariat for Agriculture and Forestry, through the Regional Directorate for Forestry Resources, has published in the Official Gazette the public call for tenders for the renewal works of the draining system and the installation of asphalt concrete paving on Carvalho Rural Road in the village of Água de Pau, municipality of Lagoa.

With a total extension of 1377 metres, this macadam-paved road covers twenty farms, benefiting a total area over 42 hectares.

The improvement of Carvalho rural road is very important as this road links the Regional Road Lagoa/Vila Franca do Campo and the Junqueiras rural road. Hence, this intervention will improve the accessibility of farmers as well as of all inhabitants of Água de Pau.

The work has an estimated budget of 400 thousand Euros and a completion period of 90 days after the awarding of the contract work.
