Improvement of Santana - Anjos Rural Road improves access to 15 farms on Santa Maria
The Regional Director for Forest Resources highlighted in Vila do Porto the importance of the contract work for the improvement of Santana-Anjos Rural Road, with an extension of 1.5 kilometres, noting that it will improve access to 15 farms located in an area of about 128 hectares.
"This intervention aims to strengthen the network of Santa Maria's rural roads, which have an extension of about 80 kilometres, stressed Anabela Isidoro, who spoke during the presentation of improvement project for that rural road.
The contract work is included in the Regional Public Works Charter. It was launched in a public call for tenders, which is already in the process of analysing proposals, with a base price of 350 thousand Euros and a completion period of 180 days.
The project includes the paving of the road as well as the improvement of the drainage system, providing it with a more efficient rainwater runoff system.
The Regional Director also visited the works taking place in Zamba, Courelas, Fundo, Mó and Saibreiro roads, under the management of Forest Services. She pointed out that this contract work "falls under the policies pursued by the Regional Government to strengthen infrastructures that support agricultural activities."
