The Regional Secretariat for Agriculture and the Environment, through IAMA, will provide real-time information on the slaughter of animals from the producers who use the regional slaughter network.
The online platform, available at http://matadouros.azores.gov.pt, allows producers to have access to the information on the entry order number in the slaughterhouse, ear tag number, approval or rejection status, classification and the cold carcass weight.
Producers will have access to the information by selecting the island, the date of slaughter, the animal registration number and the farm identification number.
Hence, by ensuring the confidentiality of data, this platform provides useful information to producers that will allow them to monitor, in real time, the slaughter of their animals.
This initiative falls under a policy towards the continuous improvement of the services provided by IAMA to meat producers, both in terms of quality and response capacity of the slaughter network and of the information provided for a better management and planning of farms.
