There constitute attributions of the SRAM, namely:
a) The definition of the regional politics in the environmental domain, promoting and coordinating the necessary actions to its execution;
b) The definition of the regional politics in the domain of the fishing, promoting and coordinating the necessary actions to its execution;
c) The support to the economical activities connected with the rows of the production, industry, transformation and marketing in the ambit of the sector of the fishing and of the aquiculture;
d) The management and conservation of the water, floristic, faunal and geological resources, as well as of the protected and classified areas as the Region;
e) The inspection and control of the environmental quality;
f) The promotion of the information, sensitization, environmental education and formation;
g) The study, co-ordination, inspection and execution of the actions of territorial order and town planning, in the perspective of the creation of conditions for a good quality of life of the population, in articulation with the other entities with competence in this matter.
For the pursuit of its objectives the SRAM disposes of the following organs and services:
